How it works

You can use Priicer to easily control the outputs of TP-Link plugs over wifi. This includes single outlet plugs with US, JP, AU, UK, EU plugs, powerstrips, and US wall sockets. There is no hub required for these to work, just a wifi connection.

Once your TP-Link plug is connected to your Kasa phone app, you can use the same credentials to connect all of your plugs to Priicer.

With Priicer you can set the amount you are willing to pay per kWh to turn each plug on. When the real-time price of electricity is over your bid amount the plug will be set to off, when the price is under your bid amount the plug will be set to on.

Instructions

1. Plug your TP-Link plug into the wall. Download the Kasa app for your smartphone.

2. Connect your phone to your smart plug by following the instructions in the Kasa app.

3. Make sure you are able to control your TP-Plugs with the Kasa app, if not please troubleshoot this before moving forward.

4. In Priicer, go to the menu dropdown in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Select "My Settings". Then from the menu on the left choose "TP-Link Kasa Account". Enter the same username and password that you used in your Kasa app. You will see a list of all of your available plugs, either choose "Import this plug" or "Import all". Be sure to change the bids for all of your plugs to fit with your preference.
